After briefly reviewing the recently proposed experiment to witness non-classical effects in gravity via gravitational entanglement, I will present the general information-theoretic argument that provides a robust theoretical underpinning for this experiment. This argument allows one to rule out a vast class of classical theories of gravity in the event of observing gravity-induced entanglement between two quantum probes.
NOTE: The Colloquium will be exceptionally held on Thursday.
