About CTP PAS and the QuRAK project
Professors from the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CTP PAS) helped initiate the Warsaw Science Picnic (Prof. Ł. Turski), the Copernicus Science Centre (Prof. Ł. Turski) and the Polish edition of Khan Academy (Prof. L. Mankiewicz).
CTP PAS aims to revive its science outreach activities and establish professional communications. Under a prestigious European project, the institute will become a Center of Excellence. Initiatives will include establishing a Communications and Science Outreach Department, organising public lectures and workshops with the Copernicus Science Centre, developing a quantum “Philharmonic” in collaboration with the University of Stuttgart, engaging in local events and inspiring students.
QuRAK, together with complementary funding from the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) and the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP), will support, among other activities, the reorganisation of the institute, the establishment of research groups, mobility programmes, research valorisation, extensive science outreach, joint development of international educational pathways, computing infrastructure and international recruitment.
Project partners: ICFO (Barcelona), University of Stuttgart, University of Warsaw, Copernicus Science Centre and empiriQa.
