Abstract: The LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA (LVK) Collaboration has recently released the Gravitational Wave Transient Catalog 5.0 (GWTC-5), alongside the public data from O4b, covering observations from April 2024, to January 2025. 161 new events were detected in this period, bringing the all-time total to 390. I will review the most significant results from this dataset, including a record sky localization of just 6 square degrees for GW240615, made possible by Virgo's return to the network; the highest signal-to-noise gravitational-wave detection ever recorded (GW250114, SNR 76.9), which enabled the first multi-mode black hole ringdown measurement and the most stringent test of general relativity from a binary merger to date; and evidence for second-generation black holes in GW241011 and GW241110, pointing to formation in dense dynamical environments. The expanded catalog has also yielded a 25% more precise measurement of the Hubble constant, announcing the onset of precision gravitational-wave astronomy.
