About us
The Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences is a research institute conducting studies in various areas of physics, including quantum information, space and gravity, semiconductors and atomic gases. The Institute’s strategy is to employ outstanding scientists and provide them with freedom of research. CFT PAN also organises numerous scientific events, including seminars, workshops and conferences open to the public, and creates educational materials available on the Institute’s YouTube channel.
About the position
We are looking for a person who will join the newly established Quantum-Assisted Computing Center within CFT PAN – the first research unit in Poland dedicated to the application of quantum effects in computation. The project plans to employ around 30 people.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- organisation of meetings of the International Scientific Committee,
- preparing minutes and documentation,
- coordinating daily office work and correspondence,
- handling the Electronic Document Management system,
- organising business trips and guests’ visits,
- support in internal regulations and procedures,
- implementation of purchases according to internal rules,
- support in workshops and conferences,
- calendar coordination for team leaders,
- archiving and administrative assistance.
Candidate profile
Required:
- at least two years of relevant professional experience,
- higher education degree,
- good knowledge of MS Office or similar tools,
- communicativeness and openness,
- English at B2 level or higher,
- reliability and strong organisational skills,
- independence and positive attitude.
Nice to have:
- experience working with scientists or research institutions,
- knowledge of project financing rules,
- experience in externally funded projects.
