Abstract:
We propose a hardware-assisted protocol for blind delegated Boson Sampling that enables a classical lient to delegate a photonic sampling task to an untrusted quantum server while protecting information about the delegated computation. Our approach relies on a trusted, tamper-resistant quantum hardware security module (HSM) that conceals the control parameters implementing the client's chosen interferometer. The client remains entirely classical, requiring neither quantum state preparation nor quantum communication. By incorporating a secret masking procedure, the protocol allows the client to recover exact samples from the desired Boson Sampling distribution, while restricting the server's measurement record to coarse-grained information about the output photon-number configurations. Our results establish a hardware-assisted framework for privacy-preserving delegated Boson Sampling under explicit hardware-trust assumptions.
