Postdoctoral Position at the Center for Theoretical Physics (CFT PAN)

The Director of the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CFT PAN) invites applications for one postdoctoral position within the GRAVITES project, implemented under the Horizon Europe program (project no. 101071779, https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101071779, funded by the European Research Council (ERC) of the European Union. The principal investigator for this part of the project is Prof. Piotr Chruściel.

Responsibilities:

• Work on theoretical problems related to experiments involving quantum photonic states in optical fibers in a gravitational field.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Knowledge, interest, and ideally experience in the interdisciplinary area between classical gravity theory and quantum photonics.

Position details:

• The position is offered for 1 year, with the possibility of extension until the end of the project (March 2029).

• Earliest start date: 15 January 2026.

• Salary: approx. 12,000–15,000 PLN gross per month (exact amount depending on the candidate’s qualifications).
