About the Position

The Director of the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CFT PAS) invites applications for the position of Public Relations Specialist. The candidate will join the team responsible for promoting the Institute, supporting its branding and communications activities, and will perform tasks within the EUCENTRAL project (No. 101186579; https://eucentral.cft.edu.pl/).

The position is funded by the EUCENTRAL project.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with Polish scientific media, organizing interviews, preparing PR texts and reports
  • Promoting CFT PAS activities
  • Managing and developing social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, X), YouTube, CFT PAS materials and websites of the Institute and projects
  • Organizing science popularization events, including CFT PAS events during Science Festival, Science Picnic, and others
  • Assisting in organizing CFT PAS integration events (once a year) and scientific conferences

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Fluent writing and ease in creating texts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong orientation in social media and communication channels
  • Proficiency in English, spoken and written

Preferred:

  • Education in physics or related field (at least a Master’s degree)
  • Experience in media (radio, TV, editorial, podcasts) in science promotion and popularization
  • Experience in creating PR campaign reports
  • Active contacts with Polish scientific media

  • Employment under a 12-month contract (half-time, with 3-month probation)
