Opening for one student’s scholarship at the Center for Theoretical Physics PAS
We invite applications for an undergraduate student scholarship at the CTP PAS, financed from the OPUS 27 project entitled "Real-world statistics of ultracold gases and their consequencesnr 2024/53/B/ST2/02161). The project leader is dr hab. Krzysztof Pawłowski.
We are looking for a talented student of full-time first or second-cycle degree programmes or uniform Master’s studies at any university in Poland, of physics or mathematics with a good background in theoretical physics (or mathematics), in particular in quantum physics.
The subject of the project is statistics of quantum ultracold-gases.
The aim of the internship is:
- Calculation of the fluctuations of occupancies of degenerate modes at low temperatures within the grand canonical, canonical, and microcanonical ensembles.
- Analytical and numerical calculations within the Lieb-Liniger model and the Yang-Yang extension.
- Numerical calculations of the aforementioned model using numerical methods for interacting systems.
Scholarship: 2500 PLN/month.
Duration: 4 months, start date: June 1st, 2025.

The applicants will be informed about the results of the recruitment by e-mail. The scholarship will be paid provided that the student will work on the project given by the PI of the research grant.
