How to reach us?
The building of the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Science,
where the Center for Theoretical Physics is located, is placed in the
southern part of Warsaw, in the district called Sluzewiec.
To get there:
- from the Central Railway station take a tram number 10 or 17
heading to Sluzewiec (both trams leave from a stop located at Chalubinskiego street at the central
railway station) and get off at stop named "Rzymowskiego". From there you can walk - about
five minutes - or go one stop by bus to get to the Institute.
- from the Warsaw Airport Okecie take a bus number 175 or 188,
get off the "Sasanki" stop (4th after leaving the airport), change into a bus
number 189 (heading Sadyba) or 186 (heading to subway stop Metro Wilanowska) and
get off at the stop "Instytut Fizyki" (Institude of Physics).
You might also wish to take a taxi, the distance to the Institute is about 2-3 km
and should cost about 20-30 zlotych (4-6 euro).
- by subway (Metro) take a train to the station "Sluzew",
then get to the street level following signs to Walbrzyska street, take a bus number
117 (heading to "Goclaw"), 141 (heading to "Bokserska") or 189
(heading to "Os. Gorczewska") and get off at the third stop "Instytut Fizyki" ("Institude
of Physics").
You might also walk form there, it is a 10-15 minutes walk straight along the
Walbrzyska street and Al. Lotnikow street.
