The First Workshop of the Cold Quantum Gases European Community Network will be held in Koscielisko (Poland) from mid-day June 25th, 2001 to mid-day of June 27th, 2001. The Meeting will also constitute the final part of Quantum Optics V Conference in Koscielisko June 20-27, 2001.

The Workshop will be organized in Plenary Lectures and Poster Sessions. Some Plenary Speakers of the Quantum Optics Conference will contribute to the Workshop. Invitations to additional speakers will contribute to cover the international progress in the field of cold gases.

We would welcome suggestions concerning the format of the Workshop and we expect that all nodes of the network are well represented at the meeting.

The total fee for the participation to the Cold Quantum Gases Workshop, 250 EUR per person if paid before May 10th and 300 EUR after that date, will cover the bus transportation from Cracow to the Conference site in Koscielisko near Zakopane and back, the accommodation based on double room occupancy, and all meals. An additional fee of 125 EUR will be charged for single room occupancy. Accompanying persons will pay 225 EUR if paid before May 10th and 275 EUR after that date (covers bus transportation, double room occupancy and all meals).

As far as the accommodation outside the conference site is concerned, there is a number of hotels in Zakopane. We recommend the Kasprowy Hotel (e-mail: kasprowy@orbis.pl). Renting a car is suggested in this case.
