The Workshops on Canonical and Quantum Gravity are organized in Warsaw by the Banach Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Our goal is to stimulate discussion between physicists and mathematicians, especially in those domains, where concepts of differential geometry begin to influence our understanding of the quantum nature of the Universe. The first part of the coming Workshop entitled Light-Cone Structure of Spacetime will be more "classical" and the second part, Quantum Geometry, definitely "quantum". But the distinction between them will not be very sharp. The organizers would like to have substantial overlaps between the two parts, an important example being the BH entropy. One day will be devoted to celebration of Ted Newman's 70th birthday.
